Who decided we have to defend Isreal to the death? This is all a result of a guilty conscience after WW2. In the 30s and early 40s, the US cared so much about Jews that they did absolutely nothing to prevent Hitler from killing 6,000,000 of them. Now, since most of the survivors moved to the US, well, feelings of guilt kicked in and they felt they had to 'help' Jews at all costs, including destroying another people's homeland (palestinians). Sure, terrorrism sucks, but ask yourself why it began, then you can begin to try stopping it.

A guilty conscience is not a guide to good politics, it only leads to bigger disasters.
