The Death Penalty
Hello, I am writing a research paper which I intend to submit to major magazines for publication. The paper concerns the death penalty as it pertains to the psychology of belief, arguing the death penalty is irrational and explores why good people can be lead to do bad things.
Just to cover all my bases, I am interested in hearing PRO-death penalty arguments, because it seems to me the only principle argument advocates argue is revenge / retribution. What other fundamental arguments, in principle, are there? Thanks much!Oh My High Reviewed by Oh My High on . The Death Penalty
Give that convicted murderer nothing but a life sentence, what more can be done with him? Now he's locked up in a system with people doing up to 5 years for much lesser offenses....he's a danger to their well being. Remember, there are alot of us tokers doing unjust time.....I'd hate to think that some scum bumped off a ritious toker in prison just because some people are worried about his rights.
Have a good one!:s4:

i think the death penalty can be a exelant eterment for crime. unfortunatly the aclu wont let us use it in a manner in wich it should be. in other words if someone is sentanced to death their death should be the same as the one they caused. if the victom is beaten to death thats what will happen to the convicted.
icould also think of many punishments that do not involve "torture" that would also be appropriate. for instance isolation, no human contact what so ever 24/7 in a box that aint quite ig enough to stand up and not quite long enough to lay down.

In lieu of execution, we should allow some convicts on death row to volunteer as subjects for medical research projects and scientific experiments that would normally be considered too dangerous to perform on healthy humans. By doing this, violent criminals can choose to serve a useful purpose for the remainder of their lives.
