Anyone have any ideas?

-I've pretty much cut out alcohol, I drink maybe once a week. Sometimes I'll go two weeks without drinking. I do drink coffee in the mornings, but I try to watch what I eat.

It's been really bothering me the past 3 or 4 days, last night I woke up at 2:30 with terrible indigestion, so I drank a glass of milk and fell back asleep.

-I just want some quick and easy ways to subdue this painful thing. My doctor wants me to take Prilosec, because if I let the indigestion continue, I could end up with Asophogeal cancer. However, I really, really, don't like to take prescription meds like Prilosec. I just don't feel comfortable puting that stuff in my body.

So I'm asking you all, anyone know of any medicinal ways, other than prescription drugs to help me? Perhaps some mineral or spice? I dunno. I do eat Tums sometimes but those are only a temporary fix.
