It might bring out a few social/religious conservatives who otherwise would stay home on election day, but I don't think it would sway many other voters. McCain's biggest problem will be to get staunch conservatives to care enough to turn out, so maybe it will help him, but so many people actually HATE Bush, even within the GOP, that it could be a wash.
