Great White Shark Tric Colour change?

    Hi Guys,

Need some advice on my GWS. I'm now on day 65 (10th week) of flower, having done a final flush 2 weeks ago, I thought they may be ready for the chop by now but the Trics are not right yet. Having had a close look at them there all still appear to be slightly clear, but a few are cloudy. I suppose the question is how long can it take for the trics to go through the various colour changes? The grow is in soil under 400W HPS and I stopped feeding after the flush. According to video on Greenhouse seeds for this variety most growers chop on day 65. Attached are a couple of pics for you. One has a strange round shape in it, could it be a seed?
I look forward to some advice.

Great White Shark Tric Colour change?

    Hey Bazzae,

Those are some good looking buds you got there! Great White is a strain that I'm looking to get my hands on, so I can't offer personal advice on flowering time. If the trichomes are still clear, cutting now would produce a more "heady" stone, which is a characteristic that lots of growers enjoy. (Motivation weed.)

If you wait another week or so, you'll probably noticed that many more of the trichs have turned cloudy, maybe even a few amber ones. Once it gets to this point and progresses further, you'll be encouraging a more narcotic stone. (Glued to the couch weed.)

Many growers find a nice even mix between the two, then harvest. Get a good pocket microscope, they're mostly inexpensive... and highly useful. I always used a magnifying glass, but have recently discovered how much more detail I can get with the microscope.

And you may have a seed from a hermaphrodite flower, or you may just have a calyx that's become over-swollen with resin. I see that a lot on plants with heavy trich production, like yours. I wouldn't worry too much about it, unless you're looking to preserve the strain.
