What should West Virginia do about marijuana?

Hi,
I'm a WVian, chronic pain patient, where pharms are destroying my body, some of you already know me, I'm angry about the FDA, I'm angry about WV leaders lack of compassion and I'm angry that I can't find the help to start moving mountains in this state, or better yet move some lazy butts off the mountains, I know this is a dangerous state to Even think about getting involved, yes most of us are rednecks and yes most of the officials are bigger rednecks. We are the closes thing to a police state full of oppression, control, and ignorence in leadership, and as I have been told many times when standing up for even a simple right "you could just disappear in these mountains". Well I believe it and maybe it will happen. most of the average citizens are family oreinted, Hard working like never seen in other states, freindly, God loving and love our land, we are proud and we are mountaineers, but mountaineers are not free as stated on our state seal and flag.

We need large amounts of people to network in this state and change the laws back to where we are free, WV is a legal Hemp grow state, but the regulations are impossable 12 foot fences, armed gaurds 24/7, only in small expermental amounts, because law offices say that they can't tell the difference, though they brag about a newer radar scanner that can tell the difference between marijuana and hemp that has joined the "war on drugs"???
I have picked out the top ten cities in WV and a few others and entered a poll at Topix, I am getting bad responces, very few comments, and I can't tell if people are scared or they realy are not interested or if the majority of WV realy doesn't want marijuana legal even for the patients, I want this information to send out articles to the media. I need to know what people realy want, and to be able to express it without duress.
Please people help me out here, if you smoke and too afraid to do anything.. believe me I understand, find some one that agrees with at least MM in the state that doesn't use and send them out to fight for the patients. I have no idea how to go about this I don't know courts and laws, but I'm here and i'm there and I need the ones that do know how to do this to help me network WVians, help the patients.

also I want to add, I'd like to see the laws changed without arrests if possable, I read that most of the laws changed in california and colo where changed through arests, I know that if WVians are educated in the costs of the war on drugs, imprisoning minors, fathers, mothers but mostly the patients wher prison time or parol without MM could reduce their life. Yes this is for me too, that is where I started, I won't lie about it, when I started getting steven-johnson syndrome from one prescription, hives, suicidal, holes in my stomack from others, destroyed pancress beta cells, enlarged adrenaline etc etc, from other FDA approved prescriptions, I started looking for an alternative, my research kept bring me to MM, yet I don't even have the right to try and see if it will work, and my doctor isn't able to help me though he admits that MM would be safer than the FDA ones, then he tells me about others with the same problems and even worse,
as I continued to research I was horrified about the regulations & laws surrounding MJ, the destructin to the familys that such laws have on a substance less harmful than alcohol and tobacco etc. yes I was asleep, but not anymore. and now, it's not just about me, it's about all patients, as well as all citizens that are treated like children and not allowed to make up their own minds, oooooooh it urks me to no end to see a pateint such as MS pateint being hauled off to jail or parol, knowing very well that without MM there lives will fade, and their children wont have a parent, how can a judge not help the suffering, it blows my mind the coldness against humanity. If some of you find me hyper and annouying, sorry, I am in pain management and am under "drug test contract", it's like being in parole without ever having broken the law. Like I'm a baby in diapers and have to be policed by the doctors office. And even after all of that crap, I AM STILL IN PAIN, and still getting sick from the prescriptions, sucks. ok there is more about me, I sort of came in like a tornato.

I work in Special Education in California and if it were known that I use cannabis for my migraines, I would be fired! It does not matter that I follow the law and am a LEGAL MMJ user, that I do my job better than most, am respected by my bosses and peers, and I am loved by the children....I would be fired if they know I used cannabis.

You have it way worse than me! At least my state has MMJ! I like to help folks, and one of my gifts my gifts is researching. So I did what I do best! Have you ever clicked the link in my sig? It is 50 pages of just the URLs of medical cannabis studies. I want you for put some paper in the printer and print that baby up! (You may want to use this alternative medical cannabis site, just for "appearances".)

Then make sure the URL is on it and start sending it out two pages (or so) at a time. Doctors, politicians, anyone who is chronically, even the police- whoever needs to be educated! Stamps are cheap!

Any SANE person should be convinced after reading even a few pages. Reading just the titles in the whole document is mind blowing! And it is not comprised of "High Times" articles- it is mostly PubMed and other respected journals.

When a person learns that cannabis kills breast and brain cancers, stops amyloid plaque which is involved with Alzheimer's, stops the progression of diabetic neuropathy, and MAY prevent Mad Cow Disease (see "prions") and much more- how can they be against it?

Education will get us further than ranting. It is hard to argue against scientific studies...hundreds of scientific studies. I can't be the activist that I would like to be, but I've made this post as a weapon for others to use. And it is dang hard to argue against 50 pages truth and scientific fact!
