Iraqi children thallium poisoning
The UK government has flown antidote medicine to the Middle East after some Iraqis became seriously ill from eating cakes laced with the poison thallium.
Two of the victims, both children, died after eating cake delivered to a military club in Baghdad.
Others are being treated in hospital in the Jordanian capital, Amman.
It is the first time the deadly toxin has been used since the downfall of Saddam Hussein, whose regime used it to kill its opponents.
At least two of the poison victims, the secretary of the Iraqi air force club and his daughter, are critically ill in Amman.
They and half-a-dozen other patients suffering from thallium poisoning were flown from Baghdad to Amman as the necessary treatments and antidotes were not available in Iraq.
Britain responded to a request for help from the World Health Organization and medication was flown out.
A bio weapon from the Saddam days? That can't be! There were no WMD's in that country.

No, it's much more likely Islamic Fundamentalists that weren't there before we went in brought this chemical agent in that has never been there before, except for when Sadam used it, but whatever.

Yet ANOTHER story about these kind of weapons being found and used. Won't see this in the "non-liberal biased" news media huh? What bias? But I bet you see 3 different people in the next 10 posts talk about how there were "no wmds". Unfortunately you have to seek out these stories, and I guess if you rely on cable news and print media to feed you, then you probably really believe no wmds were there, or that they weren't carted off by the truck load, or that we don't have video of that happening, or that there are any of these kinds of weapons in the hands of terrorists there. Yeah, they happened to bring them with them right.

You know, it would have been so much easier to just kill Saddam this way. The number of times Rumsfeld has met him to sell him guns, and maps to invade Iran, he could have arranged a meeting easily and slipped a few drops of rat poison in his tea when he wasn't looking.
Certainly it would have avoided hundreds of thousands of civilian deaths, and they could have blamed it on the Russian probably as well.
