Yes, I have read that one sticky where a bunch of strains are listed and the medical properties, forgot what it was called, but many of those plants are either rare, I've never heard of them, or are not accessible to me. Now, I am a medicinal user, as well as an occasional recreational user. Primarily, I (now) use marijuana as a low-cost, effective, and reliable treatment for severe depression. I have prescription medication, but at times I feel these pills do not do much in terms of helping, and sometimes I find the effects counterproductive. Generally, I now refuse to take such medication, and I wish for everyone here to not push such on me, as I have already had too many bad experiences with more than four different meds. I'm sticking to our Holy herb.

I also use marijuana to relieve pain from my legs. Apparently, due to complications with Chrohn's, IBS, and moderate colon damage, bacteria has spread to my muscles in my legs, which makes it difficult to walk at times. I am scheduled for an appointment next week, I suspect I am going to be given antibiotics, or at worst, surgery may be recommended. I am not sure what is causing this exactly, but sometimes when I stand or walk, my theighs and especially my shins will have extremely sharp pains. Indicas in the garden I supervise have relieved this pain a large deal for me, numbing me out. Other than these probably serious ailments, I use marijuana to help cope with my headaches. Everything else is just recreational.

I was wondering if I could get other people's opinions on which known, available strains are best to treat severe depression, abdominal, and leg pain. I assume pure sativas would be good for the depression, but these often grow too tall to be cultivated indoors. I know indicas are good for pain, but the selection is just so vast, I can't really make up my mind on which strain works best. And yes, I know there are many other outside factors that effect depression, like your surroundings, the people around you, your general mood and thoughts, etc. Disregarding these factors, I was wondering which one would be best, medicinally.

I apologize if I went in circles a time or two, I am slightly baked at the moment... And this is not a very clear high, so my thoughts are scattered.

Edit: I had said month instead of week in terms of my appointment... I'm just assuming the proposed treatment won't work for me. I always think worst-case scenerio first, so I'm prepared for anything...
