First time trying DXM

I was disappointed. A friend got a bottle of Zicam and we split it, stirring it in with Vanilla Coke to mask the taste. No good, so we ate orange slices after every sip. He couldn't even finish his, so I had half his drink. That meant I had a little more than half the bottle. We were both kind of jokey and goofy, but no hallucinations, or even general "weird" feeling.

I didn't buy the bottle, so I don't know if there are different sizes. The one we had was fairly small. It was like five inches tall.

We also ate some chips and Starbursts afterwards.

What went wrong? Did the food null it, or did we just not have enough?

dxm is all about doses, if you 2 guys split a zicam thats only like 250mg each which isnt much. even if u did it all yourself 500mg or so isnt much. dont expect any open eye visuals like acid, you get closed eye visuals or for best results just chill in a dark room when your peaking.
heres my dose's-
250mg- slight drunk/high feeling
500mg- a little more confused state, creative thinking comes
700mg.- dissacociation of mind from body, closed eye visuals, random asociations occur.
1200mg.-complete out of body experience, lots of random images appear in head, general view of world changes, more intense cev's.

just chug a 8 ounce bottle of robitussin maximum strength cough, only dxm in it, that has 708mg in it. deal with the nausae, itll go away, and youll be tripping good.

Do you have any favorite way to diminish the taste? That stuff is really vile. The soda didn't help at all, just gave us more to drink--tasted like a whole cup full of Zicam-flavored soda, so word to the wise.

zicam tastes worse than robitussin, cause all that is is basically watered down pure dxm, dxm powder tastes like rat poison. theres not much to do besides drink it as fast as you can, chug dont sip. there is one trick i learned but i dont know how others feel about this, put some hot sause in your mouth swish it around, that should kill your taste buds for a little while.

I hope this doesn't mean you have tried rat poison.
