Picking up drugs from the post office... lol

Well! Shit happened. It sucks. Ordered a half ounce of weed and an ounce of dried magic mushies. And now it's at the fucking post office in a different town. Well, I'm going back to the town where it's at a week from last tuesday. Think it's safe to pick up the package at the post office? What is the potential punishment.. etcetera. Any help is appreciated. I've no reason to think they know what is in the package.

call the post office and ask why they have it, and why it isnt in your home town one and why itr wasnt delivered to your house.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. We are moving to Illinois. Well, my mom, not having known I was purchasing some weed and shrooms made it so all the mail to here gets forwarded to the house in illinois. But, No one is home at the house in illinois! And won't be for another week after the packages estimated time of arrival. And they quit trying to deliver after like day 3 I think and just leave a note saying "its at the post office"

I don't think they can arrest you for receiving drugs in the mail, since anyone could mail you drugs in an attempt to get you in trouble. And I expect if they actually did find out what's inside, it would have been confiscated by the authorities and they would be taking action by now, so I bet you won't have any problems obtaining your package.
