Trimming/manicuring
You really shouldn't take off fan leaves. Try tying the branches apart so that the canopy opens up a bit and allows light to penetrate, but trimming before harvest- leaves or whole buds- is a cause of stress and you don't want the plant to go herm on ya.
stinkyattic Reviewed by stinkyattic on . Trimming/manicuring I am approaching week 8 of flowering this Sunday on my 2 plants. The specified harvest time is 8-9 weeks. I noticed today that some of the lower buds on the plant aren't getting much light and they look less mature and are a lighter shade of green. Will trimming the large fan leaves that are blocking the light be detrimental to the plant or would it help since the lower buds can get light. Will the plant be able to support itself with the leaves on the buds? Rating: 5
