Did you add water to the rapidrooters? They look wet. They are intended to be used right outta the box with no additional water, which will lead to rot. Your peat pellets look a lot drier.

My first attempts at cloning were with the Cheapo aero cloner and i've had 100% success but changing the res all the time is getting annoying. I've had some Rapid Rooters collecting dust so i'd like to make use of them.
