I'm assuming it's not digital? If that's the case, spend the $20 and get you a digital timer from HD or Lowe's. The ones I use are very accurate, and even have an internal battery to keep the settings from being lost in the event of a power outage.

I'm going manual and try to have the timer take over again next morning and see if it's closer this time. if it doesn't work that will really blow...
