It sounds like you're speaking of the cotyledons. They are the first two leaves to show and are the plant's source of energy in the early-seedling stage. This is not a problem now that your plant is two other nodes.

You will also want to think about when to add nutrients. With the cotyledons being depleted, your plant will need nutrients in the next few days to weeks.

gainesvillegreen Reviewed by gainesvillegreen on . yellow leave on bottom (2 week old plant) im new to growing this particular plant ( had a hand in many other vegatable and flowering plants) so i dont really know the correct terminology...anyways.... the plant is a few inches tall, it has two long narrow spiked edge leaves and two more smaller ones that just started to grow on top, then maybe a half inch below are two regular looking leaves with smooth edges these two leave on the bottom portion seem to be turning yellow on the tips, however the spiked edge leave on top look very Rating: 5
