Idea for first grow! enuff lights?

So i plan to set up a small grow room in my closet with 4 4ft T5's which will be putting out 20,000 lumens now if i buy 10 seeds and they all sprout can i grow all 10 under this lights until I determine which are male/females so i'm guaranteed 4-6 females??? I picked my strain to be mandala's white satin :thumbsup: !

Yes, should be plenty of light to start with, but is it the right color for veg? I use MH lights, and can't really say which T-5's one should use for veg. As it's pretty important, perhaps someone else here can assist with that, or you can use the site's search function.

As I'm not usually one to put all my eggs in one basket, I would germinate half, in case I do something stupid, somewhere down the line. But if you have access to more seeds, and can afford them, I'd go for it.
Some newcomers go with a bagseed to learn. Gives you a good idea of techniques work, and which ones don't, at a lesser cost to you, the grower.

I'm guessing you are going to start a soil grow. Besides the lights, do you have proper nutes, a good soil mix, a good way to test the ph, and shitloads of patience?

Besides posting every question, this sites' search function is another great way to find info you need. Especially if you need the info immediatelly.

Yah t5 have differant spectrum bulbs just like all fluoros, and im going with mandala seeds $25 for 10 so thats not bad, as far as the search goes i read these forums 2+ hours a day and so far i've only posted 3 threads after about a month so i search to but thanks for the input its appreciated!

go with 5000k-6500k bulbs, this is more in the blue spectrum, great for veg. warmer redder lights 2000k 3000k are better for flowering from what I understand:jointsmile:
