to T5 or not to T5

I bought the 24w life-glo and the 24w power-glo for the dual bulb 22" T5 set. Is this enough of the correct light to grow 1-3 plants

t5's will grow buds, use the blue spectra(5000-6500k) for veg, and red/orangish spectra(2700-3000k) for flower

keep plants within afew inches from the bulbs and you should have no problem, but it is advised to use hid lighting for flowering

I am looking into getting a couple of cfl's for extra light, possibably a daytime cfl. I have the lights running for 20hrs on and 4 off, with temp around 75-80 deg. fan on low constantly, and a small space heater on a thermastat. My T5's are about 2 inces away from top of plant. I did notice a white build up on one of the tiny leaves, I think I burnt it with liquid fertalizer that I added a few drops to the soil and accidentaly got a drop on the leaf. I sprayed water on the plant and it looks like it is clearing up somewhat. I may be over watering because my plant fell over. I proped it up with a pen and a wire and now it stands on it's own. I do leave the pen and wire due to the fan just incase it is too much for it. I am going to look into the light's you suggested. Any and all info or suggestions are welcome.

For anyone who my be interested....

The 'life-glo' T5 bulbs are triphospher full spectrum bulbs and my be the best overall bulbs made for growing.
T5's have a very poor selection of bulbs, only 3000K or 6000K not much else.

BTW: You can almost double the lumen output by turning your T5 HO into VHO with the substitution of an Ice ballast. (2' 24watt becomes 40watt.)

I'm waiting for a 2' T5 HO reptile bulb, if I could get a few of those I'd do a comparo.
Keep it civil please, gentlemen. -StinkyAttic
