    Marijuana & Gum Disease

So i woke up this morning and turned on the tube,
and there was a news channel saying that dentists have found that people who smoke marijuana are more suseptible to gum disease. They even stated that these patients have never smoked tobacco.
This sounds very wrong to me, and seeing how the government tends to lie to us about marijuana and other drugs, i just don't know what to believe...
    Any help?

When you get cottonmouth, your mouth becomes an ideal breeding ground for bacteria! When your mouth is dry, it doesn't "flush" the bacteria away down your throat. The bacteria throw an orgy! Bacteria = tooth decay and gum disease.

However, the "cure" is easy! Just have a non-sugary beverage to drink when you toke! No cottonmouth = no bacterial orgy = no problem! Those dudes must have been real idiots! Not smart enough to take a drink when they are thirsty! - Granny:hippy: (sipping on her stevia-sweetened tea)
