In my travels i came across a seed in a bag of sour diesels, While shocked someone carelessly pollinated this gorgeous bud i decided to throw it in some soil for a first time grow attempt. This was about a month ago and really i didnt expect much as i cheaped out on materials. My set up, if it even amounts to that, is one 23 watt cfl 6500 hanging a couple inches above the plant it is in a 2'x2'x5' room which easily could be closed off at the top if that is appropriate to a more 2'x2'x2' build or maybe less. i have a little window fan sitting in there just blowing around because i read the wind would help the stalk grow stronger. The walls are covered in foil to help augment my minimal light. Shockingly to me after reading posts on here is that it is pretty healthy although at 9" i wonder if it may be a little small for its age which is almost exactly 30 days from popping out of the soil. The soil it is in is some basic scott potting mix. What do i need to do to make sure my plant lives through the flowering phase i dont know to spend too much is a hpc bulb neccasary for a flowering phase and if so what wattage considering it is only 1 plant. In addition my current light schedule is 18/6 would it damage my yield to force some preflowers witha 12/12 light schedule to sex the plant then return to a 18/6 if its a female, time isnt a real big issue for me considering this much more a hobby than enterprise. Thanks in advance for any help and upon request i could upload some pics. Please help pat (plant name).
