I'm finally doing it...(wisdom teeth)

That's right. At 8am on Thursday morning I'm going to go and have all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out. Two are under the skin and two are above it.

I am being completely knocked out via IV. And the Dentist gave me...well lets just say something to relax me, for before I arrive.





This is going to suck.

I had all 4 of mine done at once too, and they were ALL impacted and had come in sideways. What a mess. There was no whole tooth left to take home, lol!
I couldn't take the perscription pain meds they gave me- I am REALLY sensitive to them and it just wasn't a good thing. I ended up taking lots of Advil and many MANY pints of Edie's raspberry sorbet (fat free ftw) to keep a reasonable level of numbness.
It sucked but I'm glad it's over and only wish I'd had it done earlier!

I had all four of mine out at once, but I don't think they were too impacted. I was so giddy from Valium that I didn't care what they yanked out of my head- afterwards I kept talking, blabbing all the way home, bleeding all over myself
My cheeks puffed up, but bags of frozen peas helped- make a little sandwich with your head in between them and lean back on the couch. You may not be able to chew for a few days if your mouth swells up inside like mine did, but smoothies are great - you are a tough cookie so it won't be too hard, but take advantage of the time to let your sweetie baby you!

But he's taking care of me. He bought gauze, pudding, jello, and soup for me.

Trust me i've had MUCH worse, i'm a cancer survivor.

I can do just about anything haha.

sidenote: LOL as i scrolled down the page was curing!!! ahh mj....

i took all 4 of mine last year. two(bottom) where under my gums and not real stright
and the other two(top) were comin in at like a 45* angle into the teeth in front of it. so that was going to get pwned.
i was fucked for a day or 2 but after like a week and a half i was good

those iv sudates suck... i didnt know where i was for 2 more hours after i "woke" up good luck and make some spacecakes instead of smoking dont want a dry socket

Yeah that seems to be what everyone is telling me. After the surgery I plan on going to Rite-Aid and getting my pain killers, then I'm going home with John and I plan on sleeping. I guess i'll just have to take it easy and relax at home watching t.v. or something.
