What do I need to do to get rid of the chlorophil taste from the new grow. The seeds were planted in a mini greenhouse 1/27/08, and they are just peeking out of their peat beds...
Is there anything I need to do now?? or later or what??
I planted 6 seeds....5 California Indica, and the only seed I got from last summers grow...second generation Sensimillia.
I figure that if I get half of them to be little girls, then I will be a happy boy
FWIW, The plan was to have sprouts by Mardi Gras(so far, so good), with the little ones ready to transplant outside on Good Friday and looking for harvest around the end of June with a second crop being started around the first of june to go in the ground by the 4th of July and harvest in october.Mississippi Steve Reviewed by Mississippi Steve on . starting second grow What do I need to do to get rid of the chlorophil taste from the new grow. Hey Steve,
First of all, good luck on the grow! How are you going to harvest in June? Are you going to cover them?
I would like to see some pictures of the progress. I just love watching grows.
Well, about your question, I find that most of the chlorophill taste leaves as the buds cure. After about 2-3 weeks the taste is gone. However, if there is still fertilizer in the plant I will get a harsh taste smmilar to chlorophill that never goes away. Could this be what's causing the problem?

First off, here in south Mississippi, we have 9 months of summer, and normally the plants are supposed to mature in 2 - 3 months.

Seems like I have some kind of bug that is eating the tender young growth. I have not yet *seen* what it is. I am wondering if hanging a no-pest strip will help or is that just going to be a waste of money. I will post a pic a little later this afternoon if there is anything left to take a picture of.
