Extrapolated into a formula for use:

X = price per KWH, in dollars (kilowatt-hour - get this from your power bill)
Y = price per 30 days, in dollars (approximate month)
Z = number of hours a day it will run (12 or 24)

Y = Z * X * 30 * 0.4

So for my friend, who pays $0.10 per KWH, and runs it 12 hours a day, the equation is:

Y = 12 * 0.10 * 30 * .4
Y = $14.40 a month (or 30 days)
