Monthly cost of HPS

Just as easy to do the math... how much per KWH on the power bill then figure 400 watts times the number of hours in the light cycle

Extrapolated into a formula for use:

X = price per KWH, in dollars (kilowatt-hour - get this from your power bill)
Y = price per 30 days, in dollars (approximate month)
Z = number of hours a day it will run (12 or 24)

Y = Z * X * 30 * 0.4

So for my friend, who pays $0.10 per KWH, and runs it 12 hours a day, the equation is:

Y = 12 * 0.10 * 30 * .4
Y = $14.40 a month (or 30 days)
