hydroponics does not 'inject' anything into the plants, it only provides a readily-available source of nutrients, so the roots don't have to go searching ... the plant will only absorb and use what it is capable of ... I'm just too 'old-school', I guess ... I had it pounded into me, that ya never expose the roots to light, ya just don't fool with the roots ... STRESS ... let's compare: 'my old-fashioned way' = almost all females, (rare for me to get a male), no diseases, never killed a plant ... 'your experimental ways' = lots of males, sick plants, and one just mysteriously died ... nothing wrong with experimenting (we all do it), but 90% of the time, the experiments only serve to feed your curiosity, and do nothing for the plants ... plants prefer to grow 'naturally' ... as I often preach, "imitate Nature" ... :smokin:
the image reaper Reviewed by the image reaper on . My Root building routine...What do you think of it? Ok, Gang.. I like to force my seedlings to reach stretch for the water...so I will open up the rapid rooter and move the seedling down to its first set of leaves..I like to let them grow about a 1/2" or so and do it again...I will continue to do this till its just the right height...you will see what I mean as you keep doing this....I cut out the circle of plastic to let the rapid rooter sit right and the tap root can extend with no problems...it takes a couple of trys sometimes to get the Rating: 5
