    cutting the top colas off

who believes in cutting the top colas off only and letting the bottom of the plant grow longer, how long, i don't know i've never done. i'd rather do it all at once, but a friend of mine thinks leaving the bottom would help yield more. any thoughts or facts, or did just not look hard enough for the answer in this forum......(i didn't look at all, i was just wondering).....

I've seen it done with really good results, I'm trying to decide if I should do the same.

    cutting the top colas off

I always thought that if the plant is damaged/sick/cut during bud it made repairing itself priority #1 instead of producing fruit?

I would love to know the answer to this one as well

I saw this one method called "Power Plant" the main cola was cut and the lower nodes continued to flower for a few more weeks. It looked pretty convincing

The plant may or may not ripen all at once. It's related to genetics. You need to know your strain if you want to consider that method, and it should be used with extreme caution, as stress in late flower WILL cause hermies in many strains, and exposing the center of the stem to pathogens is NOT a good idea.
