Drug Test in One Week - Many Questions!

Hello - long time reader, first time poster

I have to take a drug test for employment one week from today. Prior to this I've stopped smoking for a little more than 2 weeks, by the time the test come it will be a little over 3 weeks. I used to smoke a few times a week and am a fairly large fellow (6'4, 235lbs).

I've been following the recommended steps for the most part, I stopped smoking once I found out I had an interview, drank some cranberry juice, no exercise unfortunately - possibly a bad move on my part. I was considering going for a couple of jogs but I heard it was best to stop a week prior.

My questions are as follows, first what can I do AT THIS POINT that may help me, I hear quite often that drinking lots cranberry juice and water at this point won't do me too good, and I heard the same think about exercise. Other than eating a lot of red meat and high fat meals is there anything else I can do?

Secondly, on the day of the test I plan to wake up early chug a few liters of water and take some vitamin b. Contraband is not an option as this is a physical examination as well which will essentially require me to strip down.

Lastly, I was wondering where I might be able to acquire some home-test kits, I see a lot floating out there and was wondering if anyone had any experience with ones that were cheap and ship quickly (I only have a week and the weekend is coming). Also anyone have any experience with those detox drinks? I imagine they don't work all that well...

You can buy home test kits at Walmart,Walgreens, and CVS. They are very accurate. But will cost you $15.00 for each test. Read the dilution method thread and use this the morning of your test. Many people have passed using this dilution method. I am about your same size. It took me 35 days to test clean on the home kits but I was a daily smoker for 15+ years 2-5 times daily. I also had 49 days clean before my ua. I did pass however. 3 weeks might me close based on your metabolism. Good luck.

Are the 20 buck ones at walgreens/cvs any better than the 2 buck ones online? Any experiences?

The test strips are pretty much all the same. They just gouge you at walgreens. I pay 1.25 for them off fleabay.
Eat a high fiber diet and take some metamucil should help some.Other than that if you can't sub follow the dillution sticky the morning of the test.

It's been 3 weeks today since I last smoked and my test strips came in the mail today. Unfortunately on my first test I tested positive.

I have to admit, I really wasn't expecting to test positive, I'm a little freaked out right now...but I'm trying to be optimistic.

Right now I'm going to practice the dilution method and see if that helps my results.

In addition a friend of mine gave me her XXTRA clean. At what point do you guys think I should work that into the dilution plan?

If you can't sub then the dillution route is about your ownly choice. If it you follow it,it can help.

Okay, so the company called and asked to delay the test from last Thursday til tomorrow. So I did a dilution runthrough just to be safe, I used water, b-complex vitamins with somewhere around 700% b-2 inside. I took about 5 of those (worst tasting things ever) and topped it off with somewhere around 40-50ozs of water.

I did my little test I came out negative, my understanding is that with most of these kits even a faint line below the control means negative. So, huzzah I suppose, anyone have anything to confirm/refute this?

I'm also thinking about using a combination of yellow Gatorade, water, and vitamins tomorrow, along with the aspirin. Any opinions on the combination? Should I just stick with water? Also, I still have a detox drink, should I use it? And what the heck is the aspirin for anyway? I'm following the method to the word, but couldn't find out why it's recommended to take it...

Edit: Also, I realized the recommended dosage of b-complex vitamins was 10x the regular amount I took 5 because it was a small container and i wanted to conserve them for tomorrow. However I noted my urine was more of a lime colored or light yellow than anything else. Will upping the dosage tomorrow help or should I try something else?

That's the second time someone hasn't caught the fleabay joke from Killer. Kind of odd actually...

It doesn't matter what color gatorade you use. When you drink Coke does your urine come out black? I would back off the B-complex a little instead of upping them. You took a lot of B-2 trust me. Gatorade is better than water. Return the detox drink if possible, use the meatmucil if you have it. Did you pass your test using the first void? If so then I would go with a mild dilute (half the fluid volume) instead of full dilute to prevent a possible negative dilute. The aspirin is to fool some test in your favor, a more detailed explanation can be found by looking for posts from me using an advanced search and the term aspirin.

What kind of test is it that involves a physical search?
