your opinion about thc and pregnancy

I am curious what your opinion is about using weed during pregnancy.
I have lupus and migraines. I use weed to combat symptoms that are caused by the lupus. Weed helps me with many different symptoms such as; nausea, pain, depression, lack of appetite, insomnia, stress, and a few other things i havent had time to discover yet. I am considering trying to get pregnant and i am sure you are all aware that trying to find unbiased information on the use of marijuana during pregnancy is next to impossible.I have 3 books about marijuana, but nothing conclusive. I began smoking weed the 3rd week of december and i use it medicinally. I have never been pregnant and i am unsure what to expect, but of course with my health issues i need to take extra cosideration of the possibilities. I havent decided where i stand, but at this point, my perspective is , if I am in need of weed and it is available, i will have some for relief. So, what do you think?

I can only tell you I have never seen (anywhere) any reports that prove thc to be detrimental to fetal development. It comes down to the good outweighing the bad. Sure smoke is not good for you, Neither are prescription meds. If you are using medically there is a reason for it just as there is a reason for your presciption drugs. Like anything, moderation is best.

Well... just to be on the safe side. I wouldnt smoke weed during pregnancy. But then again I am a guy. So I guess what I am saying. If my wife/gf was pregnant. I wouldnt want her to smoke weed. Just to play safe.

My girlfriends bio teacher says that smoking weed will not hurt a baby most likely as long as the mother smokes no more than two joints a week... just dont do it during the first four months cause thats when the organs develope and weed can fuck up your baby

and ill tell u waht ........ most girls i have know would rather smoke ciggs than weed during pregnancy cause they think its safer , dumb asses

but rhey say there quitin weed to be safe but they atthat cigereets is ill smoke 2 packs a day i dont fuckin get it cause reports and studies show ciggerette smoke is bout 30times more toxic than cannabis smoke

Fuck you. I'll agree about the cigs, but not quitting both. I am not a dumb ass by any means and I smoked a little pot through all 3 pregnencies. All of my kids have been conceived while I was most likely stoned, too. They are all fine. Like someone else said, it's all in moderation, just a bowl a day or so. Men think they know everything...get back to me when you've puked every day for 9 monthes.

My mother smoked throughout her pregnancy, and I turned out to be perfectly healthy with none of the claimed side effects like low birth weight (9 lbs) or problems with mental development (many many people have told me I'm one of the smartest people they know). So at least for me and everyone else I know whose mother smoked during their pregnancies the claims don't hold up.
