We wouldn't need such a gigantic military budget if we aren't expending who knows how much bombs, ammo, and tank cartridges..Where would we store the soldiers..? Perhaps at home with their families, being paid to defend this country, and luckily defending this country then wouldn't include starting wars for none other than corporate interest, completely based on lies and deception. I'm pretty sure we have the facilities to hold 200,000 rifles or so..that's a lot of guns, but there's a lot of military bases. A severe cut of expenditures would classify as...ending a $720 million dollar a day war, correct?? That, my friend, is a ton of money in a year...to defend Iraq's freedom by promoting democracy..? I would say that's the thing in this country that we have spent the most money on and have the least to show for in our country. Aside from the drug war, that is.
