National Taxpayers Union: Only Ron Paul Would Cut Spending
NTU Report: Other Republicans would increase spending by billions
According to a report released Tuesday by the National Taxpayers Union, Texas Congressman Ron Paul is the only remaining presidential candidate who proposes net spending cuts.
According to the report, Congressman Paul??s proposals would cut government spending by over $150 billion, a conservative estimate of the spending reductions Dr. Paul has proposed. The report concludes that the other remaining Republican candidates, Mitt Romney, John McCain and Mike Huckabee, have proposed spending increases of $19.5 billion, $6.9 billion and $54 billion respectively.
??It should come as no surprise that when you crunch the numbers Ron Paul is the only Republican who would actually shrink the size and cost of the federal government,? said Ron Paul campaign economic advisor Don Luskin. ??Romney, McCain and Huckabee don??t hold a candle to Ron Paul ?? the only true fiscal conservative running for President.?
In ten terms in Congress, Ron Paul has never voted for a tax increase or for an unbalanced budget.

Sure he'd save the most.....after he cuts the hell out of the military there would be alot of money saved. In the meanwhile we can watch our economy crash because the oil reserves that we depend on in the middle east won't be to our disposal anymore.
Nukes flying out of Israel because they no longer have our backing and the conflict with Iran/Syria began. Hell, none of that fallout would affect us.....right?
This dude is a nut on many levels.........

I believe the people who think we need to stay there are nuts on many levels. Why was not all of that happening before we went in? HE also just wouldn't cut military spending. The Government is just too big bottom line! We will become a socialistic state if we continue our ever so popular trend in Government spending.

He wouldn't cut the hell out of the military, he would bring our military to the united states, rather than in god knows how many other country's...and policing the world comes at an astronomical cost...as at least most of us have figured out by now..Why do we need to be the only country to spend tons of money making sure everyone in the world does the right thing..if canada was at threat I think it would be in our national interest, but when the middle east is at threat I think that's not grounds to spend all of our money rebuilding bridges that we blow up...especially when our bridges at home are old and weak..Who says nukes are going to fly out of israel..? I'm not so familiar with that, because I honestly could care less, I'm more focused on what happens in my country. Isn't it time the world figured out how to solve some of their problems without us having to help them?

He brings home ALL military throughout the world and you don't think that there would be a cut in the military budget? I would love to see the Ron Paul mathematics behind this one. Where do we store and maintain all the weapons not to mention the soldiers? It would either be severe cuts or expenditures in order to house and maintain the hardware.
Well, gotta fly........keep up the faith my friend!

We wouldn't need such a gigantic military budget if we aren't expending who knows how much bombs, ammo, and tank cartridges..Where would we store the soldiers..? Perhaps at home with their families, being paid to defend this country, and luckily defending this country then wouldn't include starting wars for none other than corporate interest, completely based on lies and deception. I'm pretty sure we have the facilities to hold 200,000 rifles or so..that's a lot of guns, but there's a lot of military bases. A severe cut of expenditures would classify as...ending a $720 million dollar a day war, correct?? That, my friend, is a ton of money in a year...to defend Iraq's freedom by promoting democracy..? I would say that's the thing in this country that we have spent the most money on and have the least to show for in our country. Aside from the drug war, that is.
