Second Go 'Round - 8 Master Kush
I have 8 Master Kush plants at 48 days into flower; about a week from harvest. I had a few troubles this grow such as fungus and slime in the bottom of my flood trays because of poor drainage, which was causing all sorts of problems. I had my first pest, the fungus gnat, and No Pest Strips did nothing about it. I still have a few that I see around, but cleaning the entire system completely and then flushing with water and H2O2 and a hanging a sticky fly strip took care of the vast majority. Hopefully they disappear after harvest. I also may have had some issues with my nutrient application, so I think I am going to try strictly nutes and no supplements and see what happens.
The positive things from this grow compared to last are:
1) 80% survival rate compared to 33% survival rate for my first grow.
2) Overall resin production is INSANE. WAY more crystals than any of the plants had last time.
3) NO SEEDS! I must have had a rogue herm that went undetected last time and I thought I was pollinated again this time, but to my pleasant surprise, it was just the flower really filling out, which I didn't experience last grow. I also used Dutch Master Reverse as a precautionary measure, so I am unsure of whether or not they just didn't herm or the Reverse stopped it. Either way, I'll probably use Reverse again just in case.
I've got 10 clones growing now, 9 of which I will flower since I flowered my old mother due to size issues, and they are also looking great. Hopefully I can have 100% survival and fewer problems now that I have taken care of my drainage issue.
