Hey guys quick question....planning on cleaning my bong here tonight and I pretty much do every time after I smoke because I'm a freakin perfectionist.....anyways, I went out and got some rubbing alcohol but realized there were two choices! (Isopropyl and Ethyl)....I ended up getting the Ethyl cuz it had a higher percentage, but just wondering if one was better than the other or safer I guess? Also, when using it, should I soak the bong and bowl in it or just put it in and shake it up!? Thanks guys!:hippy:

formula 420 works prime not to expens either... otherwise hit up rubbing alcohol salt and some hot ass water to get all that rezin out

Ya well I heard alcohol did just as good if not better and it's much easier to get lol...but I'm wondering if both kinds are safe! And if so, what method is best for cleaning (ie soak, rinse, shake etc)

yeah do not put it in the microwave, esp if its glass and has cool colored designs, unless you want a broken pipe. I think both types will work, I always get the highest % on the shelf. Then you want to pour a bunch of salt into your bong (salt does not dissolve in alcohol so its forms a nice abraisive to get the resin off. Seal off the openings and swish around for a bit. Repeat until satisfied. Rinse well with lukewarm water.

I always boil my pipes and shake them with tongs while they boil to loosen up the resin. Then while its hot i through it into a plastic bag with salt and alcohol and shake it. Makes it look like brand new.
