For those of you who dont know thats the newest Mars Volta album. It came out yesterday, i snarfed it and ran through it once or twice. I honestly thought it was nothing special at all. Cedric sounds aweful, real whiny. I mean, they have been going downhill pretty fast since deloused. I dunno what to think. One of the few bands in the mainstream that has real potential and they record some emo-esque psychedellic/prog/whatever you wanna call it. [Its not emo in a good way either like ATDI]

I try not to only come across as a negative nancy so... Cavalettas (the 7th or 8th track) has some crazy vocal effects. They utilized something that ive neva heard before and for that, ill give em credit. It kinda sounds like that buzzing when someones cell phone rings next to a speaker... but musical.
