I clean my bowl as I need it, if I'm going through a dry spell I scrape the resin and make a fat ball because by that time it's pretty caked.

I have a completely clear piece so I tend to clean it regularly. It's real easy to clean too. And I like hitting it when it's all clean and glossy. When it's dirty, it looks brown.

I try to clean mine once a month or so, or whenever I have the time. I don't like to let my glass get too dirty, otherwise you can't properly taste the smoke.

I've been lazy lately, but there was a period where I would clean almost every day. Nothing is better than having a completely clean bong or bubbler to smoke through, the taste is so great.

I clean mine fairly often. I've never had enough resin to ball up and smoke, that's for sure. And I wouldn't want to touch the nasty sticky ashes and shit anyways, emergency or not. Plus the smoke tastes so good when it's clean.

Wow thats just how I feel. I keep finding my self buying more cleaner fore my bong. It sucks sometime because the money i use on cleaner i would like to use on more bud.

the only thing i clean out is the bottom of my grinder which is the pollen catcher, i don't bother with pieces even though i do have a bong and pipe i prefer relaxing with a joint.

Isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) works wonders, especially if you get the 90% instead of the 70%. It's a solvent and will literally absorb the build-up. Basically fill a plastic baggie with rubbing alcohol, enough to submerse your piece & then let it sit & soak for 2 hours or so. The longer you let it soak, the cleaner it gets. Then just grab some ear swabs or pipe cleaners and get the rest out.
I heard an oxyclean solution is an awesome alternative as well.
If you don't clean your bong or pipe very often, bacteria and mold can easily grow and make you sick. It will make your smoke taste like shit.
