Speeds things up! The doctor can read your history and not spend a lot of time asking you questions! It also helps cover the cannabis specialist's arse. Having a copy of your records makes it look more legit and the few specialists I have seen (cannabis and otherwise) want a copy of my records- usually the GP sends them to the specialist, so we don't have to bother with it.
