    Need help understanding the process

Marijuana helps me with my insomnia. I saw a "regular" doctor about insomnia over a year ago, he gave a prescription to ambien (which was horrible btw). My PCP is half way retired (works only part) is old school and conservative. I know he wont be hip to alternative medicne and I barely have a relationship with him.

So I am thinking I should get legal recommendation from another doctor. However when looking for a 420 friendly doctor it appears many are scams.

I do not understand why many of the so called "420" doctors require me to present them with my medical records from another doctor. they all say things like "we will work with your PCP in coming up with a treatment".

Why do they need this? Are these even real MDs? Are there MDs out there who I can see and get a recommendation on the spot? Are there real doctor that recommend 420 without needign to "work" with another doctor?

I live in the SF Bay Area. Please provide a recommendation.

Yeah dude all you need is 200 bucks and a good enough reason for the script and you have that covered. Its doctor Hopkins on main street Upperlake. But you would have to come back every six months to renew it, witch cost 70 the first visit and 130 at the end of the year, so 200 a year alltogether. Its alot of money but he didn't ask if i had even seen another doctor for the migrains i get. Good luck!:smokin:

Speeds things up! The doctor can read your history and not spend a lot of time asking you questions! It also helps cover the cannabis specialist's arse. Having a copy of your records makes it look more legit and the few specialists I have seen (cannabis and otherwise) want a copy of my records- usually the GP sends them to the specialist, so we don't have to bother with it. Nothing unusual about it.

And yes, they are real doctors. Some of them are more principled than others, some are in it just for the money. NORML has a list of cannabis friendly doctors. - Granny:hippy:
