New Autechre Album out in March!

Yes, totally I love just really sitting and absorbing Autechre in that half awake like state. Ive been listening to them so long I notice the patterns and shifts in about everything they do, but your right when your kinda just drifting and listening it really comes out.

Haven't tried listening to any of it backwards, but I realized I have the ablity using Audacity... I might have to try that on a few tracks.

Have you checked their myspace? I went there to see if they had any new tracks. The page is completely schitzo up on my computer, like it didn't load properly. I don't know if it's just them being "experimental" with the page design or it really is an error, do you get the same thing? The plug in media player works fine.

Yeah, that's totally on purpose I'm prety sure, seems to take likeness to the style displayed on the new cover.. Didn't look like any of the tracks were new though. Autechre's so secretive and elusive about things I wouldn't be suprised If we dont hear any clips even until the actual release date.

I'm excited about this, as I quite like Autechre. IMHO, their later albums are best listened in altered states, though. One act I also highly recommend are Boards of Canada. :thumbsup:

I like BOC too, but I was a little bit disappointed with the 3rd album The Campfire Headphase.

I also love Boards of Canada... Geogaddi is one of my all time favorite albums ever. Campfire Headphase wasn't bad IMO it was just a different approach using different dynamics by incorporating the accousic guitars. And I think, you cant really expect them to top Geogaddi, that album is just a masterpiece. Ever try playing some of the tracks off there backwards?... it reveals more of the brilliance of it.

I bought Geogaddi just after I came back from India so my head was still a little unadjusted to the western hemisphere, it is quite a dark album.

What I like about it though is the voice samples and short clips of random things, it seems to make it more complete an album than the new one.

I just got into these guys.
