Ive done a couple grows with an NYCD. Not sure where it came from, but it was from a club I frequent for good genetics. She stays pretty low, but still a good grower, Loves to be topped and spread out, generally big fat nugs. Obviously this has something to do with growing methods, etc.

I grew it recirculating DWC with 2 600 watt digital HPS over 4 plants in a closet that was exhausted with an 8" fan. Yielded half pound per plant, 1 pound per light. Not the biggest yielder but I think it was limited by the space I had.

Yeah I think strains and seeds category is done for? If you have a post in that section,you may be able to pull it up.I for one don't understand why they destroyed that topic.It was very helpful to a lot of us.

I honestly would NOT suggest growing his strain despite what I said above. It was nice and everything, but the taste is very peculiar and I consistently wish the buds were denser. After 3 grows with the stuff I decided that it just was not up to par with the other stuff I have grown. It quite possibly could be the specific genetics I have, but they are pretty good genetics just not anything special. (Apparently there are 2 main genetic lines of NYCD and both of them are very different from eachother, one tasting and smelling like Diesel fuel and the other one not. I havent a clue which one I have, but I dont notice any diesel smell.)

Sour Diesel is such a superior product I dont know why anyone even talks about NYCD anymore. Considerably more potent and such a great taste and it also grows fairly easily too with real dense buds. Ive seen a lot of different Sour Diesel genetics and all of them were great. The only reason I dont grow it is because its a rather tall plant whereas NYCD is shorter since it does not have the Cat Piss in it, and because the taste and smell is like Trainwreck; great but easy to get tired off.
