Quick question

i noticed that my trichs dont look like the ones in the pictures, the stipe cell part starts thicker on the bottom and slims down towards the top, and the heads havent really swollen too much... what does this tell me, and how often should i look at them.

It tells you one of two things.
Either your trichs are not fully developed (either due to not enough time yet, or not enough light), or, the strain you are growing isn't very vigorous.
I check my trichs every time I water.

well i have 2 150w cfls and 1 100w cfl on a like 14" plant, sufficient?
if i checked them once a week thats not enough time for anything drastic to happen right?

Is that the actual wattage? Or the 'equivalent' wattage?
And how big is your space?

Then you're only running about +/- 100 actual watts, so no. You need more light. About double actually.
Equivalent watts are meaningless. It's only the real watts that count.

oo, good to know, the only thing is the house im in scares the shit out of me when it comes to fire hazards, if i was to double the light would that be a big load of electricity? maybe something it'd be equivilent to would help.

also i was planning to do 5 verysmall plants next grow, how much light would be recommended for this?

The general rule of thumb is, use more than 50 watts per square foot of canopy.
When using all CFL's, it's more like 70 watts per square foot.
I wouldn't worry about fire hazards until you're using more than 250 actual watts.
