You pay 120.00 for Schwag? or Good bud called "Schwag"? I get a qp or strawberry diesel for a buck straight.

Think back to 1979 or 1980 when "Sea Weed" showed up... it was real thai weed... a lot of it was tied on sticks. There were over 100 boxes that came to shore, each box was 1 cubic meter. Most got picked up by the Coast Guard. but there were several boxes that didn't get confiscated.
......that stuff was outstanding.
To this day, I will only buy or grow stuff that takes one hit and I'm good for the night >>>>
Holy shit! I remember this, there were people on the beach with stuffing hefty bags full of weed and hauling it off, news crews showed up and scared people off. They figured the coast guard may have been following a boat so they ditched their cargo but I absolutely remember this.
Real thai stick seems to be a thing of the past. I've had it a few times, the first time I thought I got ripped off, got an 8th for $25 and it was the size of my big toe, I was like WTF is this shit? Well it was tight as fuck and blew your mind when you smoked it. CHOCOLATE thai was even better and even harder to find.
I remember right before CAMP started news crews were parked out up in Mendocino and were filming growers pulling their harvest down from the hills, this is what got CAMP started and within a few years the prices doubled.
The old fashioned skunk bud, the stuff you could smell sealed in a ziploc bag from your pocket doesn't seem to exist anymore however I believe it's all in the curing. If you let the bud stay just a little more moist before you seal it then this might help bring that smell out however when you buy it you're paying for water weight. I remember that really stinky and sticky bud you couldn't even smoke in a joint but that was because it wasn't actually done curing. If you remember, when you bought a big bag of it and as it dried out the smell wasn't nearly as strong. IMO we were paying for water.

What happened to the good smell of weed?
My friend's dad started smoking in the mid 70's, and since he is a hardcore cannasoir like me, i can only assume he tried some of the best shit that was available in the States at that time. I burn with him nowadays, and he constantly tells me how amazing the stuff i get is, even calls it "super weed" lol. He never actually said that its better or worse than the 70's shit, but every study i've read says that U.S. pot has like quadrupled in potency in the last 20-30 years.
But anyways, the shit i get is always smellin different, sometimes fruity, sometimes skunky, sometimes piney, sometimes even a little minty. I like the variety, but my favorite smell is definitely this shit that my friend calls mango kush, its like skunky and fruity at the same time and makes you cough your dick off and be gigglin after one hit.
However, I wouldn't go as far as to say that smell directly correlates with potency, because my friend has some shit right now that LOOKS amazing, and gets everyone who smokes it high as fuck, but smells like fuckin dryer sheets and tastes like... well, nothing. Even though it's potent as fuck and gets the job done, i'd prefer to smoke some mango kush for sure. To me, taste and smell are secondary to potency, but still very important to me. i love me some good as shit like that one guy was talkin about where the nugs are sparkly like theyre covered in tiny diamonds and they smell so good you just wanna pop one in your mouth.
I wish i couldve seen the 60's/70's for a shit ton of reasons, but i got absolutely no problem with this "youngster" weed.
