Odor control recomondations
I know grey1223 said otherwise but I've witnessed a room with about 30-40 plants all done with the ionic breeze type machines populating the room without much smell at all. This was done in an apt. in Boston mind you so I'm inclined to say you are able to do it.
A little fun fact: the person was actually going on tour with Kid Rock (band suck but still pretty cool).

I would say your best bet is to purchase and air purifier that will cover the square footage of the basement. I found a great one that doesn't cost much and supposibly covers up to 3,500 square feet.... MAMMOTH AIR 1000 :hippy:

Odor control recomondations
I've got a UVONAIR 3000, my grow space is about 10x10 and it does a pretty good job of eliminating the smell i would say, but near the end of flowering, it doesn't do the job, my plants just reek hella bad and it cant keep up with cleaning the air, and you cant leave it on all the time, i have it set to come on in intervals of 15 mins every hour. and theres still a pretty strong smell of weed after that, not as strong as it would be tho without anything thats for sure, during veg an early flowering tho, up til late flowering, it does a good job.
