Has anyone ever Lucid Dreamed?
Thanks for the replies everyone.
And yeah, I've had sleep paralysis 2 times, very scary the first time since I didn't know what it was. This was when I had a terrible sleeping schedule and usually just passed out in awkward positions on my bed or even in my computer chair.
I've heard it's when your mind wakes up, but your body hasn't. I've also heard that it's just your body locking up when you go to bed to prevent you from sleep walking, and when you wake up really fast your body isn't ready to unlock so you're paralized for a short while.
I've heard that wiggling your toes can help, but I don't know for sure. and nope, no luck on the lucid dream, guess I had too much on my mind.
And yes, sorry, I wouldn't reccomend going into your first lucid dream thinking you're a god of some sorts. That can cause some problems, probably. I would start off easy, doing things like defying gravity and physics, and work your way up to god-like powers.
Also to make sure you're dreaming, reality checks always work. For me I just know that I'm dreaming because whatever is going on at the time doesn't make sense, m y dreams are really random. But for some people, they have normal dreams where they just wake up and they're in their room, completly unaware they are actually dreaming.
Some good reality checks are looking in the mirror, seeing if anything if "off", counting your figures, looking at a clock, then looking again if it says the same time, sometimes pinching yourself can work but I've heard that you can indeed feel pain in dreams.
Which brings me to another thing, please do not die in a lucid dream. IT IS medically supported that the mind will actually think you have died, and will cause the brain to shock you to wake you up to see what the problem is, so just don't die and you're fine. Usually in lucid dreams, your last thought is dieing, and since you control everything and anything that's kind of hard for you to die. So don't worry about it, just wanted to mention something though
