    Don't be discouraged.
We don't pay $500+ per OZ either.
    And no DEA raids.
I can get free clones, and sometimes even free meds.
It's going to be difficult no matter where you go. There's still always some kind of regulations or restrictions, and the states don't make it easy, but Oregon is one of the best.
The thing to do is work for full legalization wherever you are.
    The dispensaries will come soon.

    Plan A-
Grow your own and BE a caregiver.
    Plan B-
If you are proactive about it, it can be easy. Go to meetings and talk to people. Get involved, and growers will find you.
If you wait around for someone to find a grower for you, you'll either wait a long time, and/or get a questionable grower. Unless you're really lucky.
Another option is find a grow buddy (someone you trust), and make them your caregiver. That way you're in it together, and two people can do things one person (especially a patient) can't do.

well I was wondering how hard it would to be a care giver, but after you ask this, I guess it can't be TOO hard. I mean I would want to be a care giver, and i'll be in OR in no time so I'm looking all this up now. Even these boards might help ppl connect.

But I am a bit skeptical about puttin gmy name down as the grower. Somehow someway, it would mess something up somewhere with employers, or that one blue moon raid or something. jail is no place for me.

I'll hafta add the ducks and or beavers to the fan list along with the huskers lol

A lot of people find caregivers or growers through Oregon Green Free, or Oregon NORML.
Both have websites, and meetings where you can meet other patients, caregivers, and growers.
You must already be a registered patient though.

Hey, I just removed a post containing an email addy- please use the resources that psteve has listed to find a provider, rather than trying to use this site directly.
Site rules prohibit posting of contact information. Please read them and if you have any questions, the moderators' email addys are in our sigs or profiles.
It is far safer for you, other members, and the site in general. Thank you for understanding.

My brother visited Nebraska, and said it was okay. However you will love it here. In Portland(The biggest city) you a Hour and half away from the great beaches, hour from a mountain that is famous for its ski lodges (Timberline, Meadows, Ski Bowl) and a step or a leap from beautiful wild life and forests that can jaw drop anyone.

Its great here, year round if rain doesn't put you in a bad mood, and the people in town (at least the NE Portland area) are very friendly and great. We have a awesome music scene, with plenty of very unique head shops(3 on Hawthorn all within 50yards of each other). Police here are very lenient, and friendly (One time a cop caught me smoking, asked for my license, called me in for any other crimes, found none, and went on his way taking nothing or asking for nothing) This city and town is great. You will love it here.

    Cheers.
I just moved to Oregon about 6 months ago, and let me tell you...it is the shit. The rain kinda sucks, but if you're like I am...I don't do a whole lot outdoors, so it really doesn't matter that bad. The beaches are great...although you really can't swim in them for fear of freezin your balls off. But they are nice. There are mountains to hike, camping grounds out the waazoo, and all the primo bud you can get.

Since there are no dispenseries, what kinda deals do caregivers and patients work out? Obviously, if they are good friends it's probly something simple, but if i were to go to a meeting and find a caregiver to take care of my medicine instead of growing my own, what is the typical arrangement i can expect?
