Dirty "Porta-Scrog" Experiment
welcome to the experiment.
scenario-
soil user wants to try Scrog, but wants to have portability for physical move to flwr(different area) and any other reasons dirty ppl need to move the pots(flushing etc)
parts to do this-
fence for the screen
wire hanger wire, or drop ceiling wire, or heavy tie wire for legs
wire cutters to trim
pliers or a multi-tool makes assembly easier on your fingers.
assembly with pix, CLICK HERE
the new one for this log is 14x15 roof.
the roof is between 8 and 9 inches from soil, depending on curve(and can be raised later if nesesary).
our volunteer is "Mystery Red" bagseed from 6 mo ago which had an EfreakiNormous sticky red nug about 1x6in in the sack and 10 beans
"Mystery Red" (J-for now, until we know sex) is starting week 6 of veg today and was topped this past week, has healed and has 2 lil branch-sprouts splitting nicely.
the pot is 12x12in.
MG soil thinned and perlited
water w ST 1 drop/gal
FF Grow Big almost every watering
26/100w daylighter CFL's, 1 over each plant
lites on 18-6
prolly another 2-3 wks veg before the move upstairs to flwr.
this log will be to track the performance of this "Porta-Scrog" creation I fabricated while being talked into trying Scrog by the world reknowned WeedHound, while using inspiration from MVP, Opie and CM current scrog setups.
That WeedHound sure puts up a convincing argument.
even tho all those are hydro-heads and i am dirty, therefore, the experiment was born.
follow along while our inept-rookie gives this a whirl:wtf:
this is what "J" looks like with the new setup in place.Rock.Steady Reviewed by Rock.Steady on . Dirty "Porta-Scrog" Experiment
I hit subscribe and am excited to see how this goes rock
How long are you planning on vegging J for? I have 8 plants and a 4x2ft screen and they have filled it up nicely after only one week in veg. The screen is about 9 or 10 inches from the medium and I flipped the switch to 12/12 once the tips of the plants started to go higher than the screen.
From what I have read about SCRoG grows, the sooner you flip the switch the better; because undergrowth after the 12/12 growth spurt is much easier to deal with than overgrowth.
I repped you with my email

Dirty "Porta-Scrog" Experiment
hey bro, thanks for stoppin by, just loaded up, here, rip on this :smokebong:
J was just topped last week and is starting wk 6-v today.
2-3 more weeks of veg would be 8 or 9 total, (minus 2 for the topping) and would be week 7-8 theoretically.
i think it will largely depend on J.
stay tuned

I honestly think those will stress and hermie with too much playing around. The russians should do good however.

Dirty "Porta-Scrog" Experiment
hmmm, maybe time for a re-think,,,,,a Russian mom? :wtf:
either will be a very strict house, or a troupe of go-go dancers with heavy accents
i guess ill have to try sexing the 3 BR sprouts with a clone each and try to pull a mom outta them.
maybe the SNLxNH(f) will still work for a mom, that way i can save the beans,
i'm just worried about them taking off and outgrowing the space.:jawdropper:
i coulda swore thats why you thought i should try this scrog stuff

The odd thing was I had two of the SNL x NH....and one was super tall with fluffy buds and one was very short with dense buds. I can't even tell you if the beans from them would turn out the same way as the parents.
The russians seem quite stable.....been watching them be grown for awhile.....brb...
