Minor Problems at Moment
Hi all
My plants are relatively healthy but now are starting to show signs of problems.
I put them on 12/12 lighting 6 days ago and fed them Dr Hornby's Big Bud at 1/4 strength. 0-10-40
Last night I was going to feed them again but checked my solution again and it was a 5.8- 6.0 PH. (PH was 6.8 at first feeding) so I adjusted it.
My plants are developing Leaf Curl,Brown Leaf Tips, and one plant has Yellow Spots on Leaves. The one with the spots had spider mites a while back and was treated with NEEM oil, as were the rest. The plant with the Discolored Leaf is a lighter green that the others, a bright green as apposed to a dark green.
Lighting is 12/12, 1000W HPS
Great air flow, leave closet open during light cycle with fan blowing in. (this resolved my heat issue)
Temp 80 deg.
Humidity is 30 %
Soil PH 6.5 - 7.0
Water as needed check soil 2in. down with finger.Dreadscale Reviewed by Dreadscale on . if i remember correctly big bud is a pk booster. it is to be used in the 4th or 5th week for a week. to use pk boosters you reduce the ppm of your normal nute regimen and replace it with the pk booster. if you're getting tip burn then you ppm is a little high.

Minor Problems at Moment
I'm worried about one of my plants this morning.
The leaves are really curling.
I read on another post about air circulation in lights off.
Could this be the problem, I had no circulation of air for 12 hours a day.
Have I over watered it, or overheated it ?
Should I flush it?
Please help I'm lost and things were going so
well.
Details above

Thank You

that looks like overwatering. towards the end of your light cycle you can also get a droop. you don't need a fan at night but you can if you want.

You don't need to water until the soil is almost dry. Pick up the pot before you water and you'll get a feel for when it needs water by the weight of the container. You're probably overwatering. You need to use a bloom nutrient that is a stand alone. Pure blend Pro bloom for soil is a good choice. Use Big Bud through the whole bloom cycle. 1/4 strength is enough.
You need to exhaust some air at night or the humidity may rise too high and promote bud rot. If you don't have one, get a digital thermometer that reads humidity too.

Oh and those spots look like spider mite damage. Keep using the neem oil to get the mites that are sure to hatch. Don't forget to spray the bottom of the leaves. The leaf tips are just starting to burn which means you're on the verge of overfertilizing too.

Thank You,
Bongojaz, gainsvillegreen, and pepper for the replies.
I will make sure not to over water.
I am not using fertiliser anymore, kinda thought I was overdoing it.
I have already treated them for mites again, I figured that was the problem.
I don't exhaust during lights out, just air flow.
Thanks Again for all the help.:hippy:
