Did anyone see the episode where they set up several greenhouses and played different music, had tapes of people talking, screaming, and one greenhouse was dead silent.

Anyone want to talke a stab at why the plants did better listening to Death Metal Music?

perhaps because a lot of death metal music is actually rather complex... double bass pedals, dual guitars playing harmonized leads, fast rhythms. etc. perhaps the plants were growing better to match the complexity of the music?

Right now I am only using a 400W MH bulb and will switch to a 400W HPS down the road. I have 1000W HPS, and 600 W MH Lights but they are too big for this first trial run.

Well, in reality, the music is just moving the plant with its sound waves. This is not that dissimilar from when you bend them by hend, to increase stem diameter. The music with the most dynamic rance and radical changes from one frequency to another. The more violently the plants are vibrated, the more growth there is.

How loud was the music? Because it would have to be quite loud for the waves to sway the plants/.
