    Propagation Techniques for SOG

What is the best method for propagating clones for SOG?
Say you had a couple of very similar clones to start with. Should you grow them up to be mothers and cut all your clones at once?
Or should you be constantly cutting clones as the veg becomes available?
Once a clone is cut, how long do you have to wait before it roots, and veg enough so you can cut clones from it?

    Propagation Techniques for SOG

Welcome megamassgrower! Here is my clone log
took me 12 weeks to obtain 18 moms and 10clones out of 4 seedlings ( I was newbe grower that time)
in 9 weeks there were 118moms and 60 aero clones in my box

i would think that starting a mother and taking clones off that is the best method for sog or a purpetural sog.

usually it takes anywhere from7-14 days for the cuttings to grow roots, you can either go with a bubble/aero cloner or use rapid rooters or rockwool

i have personally tried bubble and rapid for my cloning and prefer rapid rooters cause im always afraid of hurting the roots when transplanting into the soil.

you can put fresh clones straight into flower if they have a strong root system but i would prefer atleast 1-2 + weeks in veg before you flower

If you are cloning into a soil medium, would you expect a longer rooting period?
I've heard that clones should be started in the medium that they finish in, but I don't know how important that would be in comparison with the success rate of cloning in another medium such as rockwool...

Others have thier own opinion of what is best.No matter what you use,the end results should end up the same,as long as the ph in whatever medium you choose,is neutral.Warmth and Humidity are the main things that take your cutting to the rooting stage.Warmth creates humidity.

You should pick your cloning medium based on compatibility with the flowering medium, but that's it. For example, you wouldn't clone into peat pucks if you are flowering in aeroponics. And I don't like putting rockwool-prop'ed clones into soil for risk of rot around the base of the stem. I've found that the composted bark plugs are a decent compromise and can go into soil or most types of hydro just fine.
For SOG, I would use cuts taken all at once from genetically identical mothers, or from a single large mom. Take more than you need so that you can cull out any stragglers that rooted more slowly or failed to 'take off' when planted. Since you can't actually SEE the hormone concentrations in the shoots you cut, you don't really know in advance how evenly they will all grow, so give yourself some wiggle room.
