Any way to install windows without cd rom?

hey guys,

i have this fairly new sony laptop which has an external cd drive. it's been around a year that the cd rom got busted and then later my windows crashed. i gotta install windows on it but i can't find a way how. is there a way to install it through network or something similar?

i have a desktop which i'm using and a laptop without a floppy drive and a dysfunctional cd rom.

please assist me.

You can find a torrent and try installing it that way, but it's a bitch. But my friend was able to install Vista using MagicISO.

Yes there is. I would back up all data needed and just ghost an image to the drive.
