Isn't a thermal shield a fancy way of saying "insulation"? If you are worried, buy some R50 styrofoam and install it. If you're just growing for you and some friends, don't worry about it. If you're growing a whole bunch too sell, well you've got balls. I'll try to remember to write.

If a tweeker is anywhere near by they will bug out no matter what. I once rented a room and the couple held fricking marathon dart tournaments in the living room 7 days a week, that is if they were not out doing yardwork with flood lights at 2 am on a 4 lane highway in the middle of town. I cant help but want to screw with someone who is under the influence of that crap.
I find it hard to believe that anything in a closet or room where your temps should run about 75-85 is going to get those heatseekers to open an investigation into what your doing. A 2 story house with lights on the first floor would be very hard to detect unless its right by a window that they could accuratley get a reading on.
I have heard its the technology is in fact on almost every helicopter used by law enforcement in this country. However if they have a suspect on foot and he climbs into a tree the heat signature is sometimes lost due to branchs, leaves pr if they can get under a patio they cant always find them.

You want to know a cheap and effective way to avoid the problem if you are so worried about it? Run your lights during the day

Anyyywayyy, his house is the only one down the street that has no snow on the roof in winter and the birds (of the tweety type) love it!:hippy:

Maybe he just has poor insulation in the rafters.

He could have! The occasional waft from his house and the fact that he wears shades constantly gives it away though. Me n him could be such good friends if only he would talk.

Or none at all. Freakin' tweakers are all over this state.I guess they all forgat about weed, and have the need for speed. Watch out for that impact! It's a doozie! They should blow them up with their labs. Chemicals suck. I hate to even take an aspirin.
