In SoCal, dealing with co-ops is somewhat problematic because they won't discuss anything over the phone so you end up having to go to the co-ops in person and then they want you to register and then they verify your Rx and then they want you to sign a caretaker agreement and then, when you finally make it through the second door, you meet with some low-level co-op employee who is happy to sample your wares, but can't make a buying decision. From a sales standpoint, this is a very unproductive use of one's time - plus you have to wonder how many of the co-ops you call on have your name and all your authentic personal information in a "vendors" file. One way to avoid this is to call delivery services. By the very nature of their service, they have to discuss business over the phone.
