Well this will be my first real grow log.

I am attempting to grow White Widows from Nirvana.
I have only ever grew bagseed so wanna see how much of a difference knowing what im growing will make.

Anyways my grow room isn't completely finished yet but will be in a few days but I have already started germination tonight and will have the grow room finished when its needed. (pics of what I have right now will be included and what ever can't be posted will be in another post.)

I am also keeping track of everything on a spread sheet to keep track of all occurances from start to finish and will post the final sheet on here when the grow has completed.

Pics are included of my light system and the grow room.

My light system consists of 12 4' F32T8 put out around 2800 lumens each. takes 4 ballasts located outside the grow room.Supplemental lighting will be added later and maybe even upgrade to a HPS. Spent as much for this homemade system as I would have on a 600watt HPS. So mods will be made.

My ventilation consists of 1 8" inline duct fan that reduces to a 4" dryer hose that is 8' long and coiled within the box to lessen the noise from the 8" inline duct fan. Over all the inlet is a 6" reducer that leads to the 8" inline from the 8" inline 2 other reducers are used. 8" to 6" and then 6" to 4". So far makes for quite a powerful blower. Activated carbon will be added later when it is needed.

The grow room is 6'L x 2'6"W x 6'H. With and actual grow space of 5'L x 2'W x 5'H. With lights and cooler installed. The one end is used for storage and ballasts and all that other good stuff. Nutes and such.

My grow medium is going to be Organic Choice Potting mix. Made by MG but with no additives. These will be started in 10 5qt pots and transpanted later to 5 gallon pots. Which is what the grow room was designed to hold. (10 5 gallon buckets).

My nutes will be as follows along with a list of what they each contain.

The main nute that will be used for veg will be.

Peters Professional All Purpose Plant Food 24-8-16

total Nitrogen (N) 24%
----3.1% Ammoniacal Nitrogen
----1.2% Nitrate Nitrogen
----16.1% Urea Nitrogen
----0.9%Other Water Soluble Nitrogen
----2.7% Water Insoluble Nitrogen
Avaiable Phosphate (P2O5) 8.0%
Soluble Potash (K2O) 16.0%
Boron (B) 0.02%
Total Copper (Cu) 0.07%
----0.07% Water Soluble Copper
Total Iron (Fe) 0.15%
----0.15% Chelated Iron
Total Manganese (Mn) 0.05%

And the main nute used for flowering will be:

Green Light Super Bloom 12-55-6
only contains the general N-P-K and 0.10% Chelated Iron (Fe)

Then the addition to make sure that the plants get everything mineral wise that it needs I have picked up:

Espoma Holly-Tone 4-6-4

These nutes should be ok for growing White Widows and offers everything there babies need for growth and sustainment.

Germination took place at 8:12pm est on January 17th 2008.

Day 1 germination -

Started the little buggers in 10 peat moss inserts that come in a germination greenhouse kit. Simply fill with water a little bacto and add seeds. Wait for germination to take place.
