400w DWC WW/NL Take 2!

So this is technically my third grow, but really only my second, and this is my first "serious" grow. I have planted 2 white widow, and 2 northern light seeds. all 4 germinated within a two days, and 3 sprouted in the next 2 days in starter plugs..the 4th bad boy is slooooowwwwwwwly coming out, its growth compared to the other plants is minimal. I'm running two 5 gal DWC buckets wtih airstones, GH 3 part nutes with floralicious plus, fulvic acid, and i just picked up some super thrive today to hopefully ease some stress on the babies. They are almost 10 days old, and just went under teh HPS light the other day, my CFL fixture thing broke and was all ghetto like, so HPS was all i had left...is 24-26 inches too close for such young plants? temps never stray above 80 in the room, and probably mid 70's around the plants since the fan is blowing around there...no tds or ph meter again, but i talked to local hydro store guy and found out tap water around here runs between 200-300 and following a feeding schedule(latewood's GH recipe) should prove to be rewarding and not too difficult. PH is tested with shaker bottle thingy and that was proving to be no problem in the other two grows.hopefully with this grow i will have at least ONE female, two would be fantastic, 3 would be insane, and 4 would be flat out orgasmic...but we shall see!

So growth on the NL's has just exploded. growing like a solid half inch/inch a day, and a new set of leaves. the white widow is growing steadily, one is at least..the mutant midget plant is starting to show new growth for sure, but dunno.

My plan is to screw a bunch of screws halfway in around the rim of the black netted pots.then use those as tie off points for string to train the plants.. im hoping to have em wrap around the pot so taht there is enough room between em for light to penetrate..i know im probably gonna suffer if one is male and the other is female, but hopefully ill be able to submerge the entire pot in deep water and shimmy the male out later without tearing a ton of roots. i know this grow is sitll a bit unplanned, but im stopping growing in this place after this grow untill i get a more secure place to grow. things are fine here, its just an apartment, and its not smart to grow in apartments at all. living by myself and having them in a room that i can lock, and a room that has nothing in it that apartment people would need to check/fix such as heat/ac, or any electrical stuff. also my neighbor is trouble, playing loud music and stuff all the time, and im very quiet and conserved..so the apartment people really like me haha. but hopefully after this grow i shall be moving somewhere new and having a much safer and discreet place to do my business :jointsmile:

no nutes have been added yet, just a drop of superthrive per gallon...ill start 1/4th strength nutes on the 22nd, 2 weeks after they sprouted..should i wait a tad longer or go for it?

so im noticing some yellowing of the leaves on all three plants, but mostly just one..the tips have some brown/white burnish looking spots and the leaves are a bit yellow...the new growth on the plant is fine and green, i just figured the yellowing hasnt spread to anymore of the plant since i cleaned out the whole system and rechanged the rez etc...just let the plant grow and the dead leaves fall off eventually?

new growth is staying nice and green, yellowing hasnt spread to any other parts of the plants...1/4th strength nutes start tomorrow, following latewood's recipe.

Im pulling up a chair and watching this one. I love WW cant get enough of it. Keep up the good work those plants look good. If you need any input Ill be here. One thing I found out about the WW I grow is that I cant let my ppms go above 800 anything higher they hate it.:rasta::rastasmoke:imp:

well i just got my hannah PPM meter today...my water came out to be 178 PPM so not as bad as i thought it would be..im about to mix up my first batch of nutes today, 1/4 strength 1-1-1 grow, micro, broom, with drop of superthrive per gallon, and half dose of fulvic acid(1/2 tblsp per gallon).. any ideas on the starting PPM levels for 1/4th strength? i was thinking 400ish including the base 178..too much or too little? i have no experience with using PPM as a measurement, jsut been following bottles and labels..we shall see!

ok so first dose of nutes today..1/4th strength 1-1-1 combo

2ml per gallon of bloom,micro, grow
1 tsp per gallon of Fulvic Acid
1/2tsp per 5 gallon of Floralicious plus
1 drop per gallon super thrive

The yellow has all together stopped spreading, new growth is very green and lush..that 4th plant is still struggling but its slowly making it..im not going to kill it just yet, imma see if it pulls through and makes it
