Is a 2 ft. Deep closet too narrow for 1000w?

Crap! The light emits over 100000 lumens. I think my space is gonna be too small....

It'll be tough to keep the temps down in such a small area, unless you make a whole bunch of modifications for airflow. You'd be better off going with a 600 or smaller, if you're bound & determined to go the route of an HID. Keep it air-cooled and exhausted, regardless of what size lamp you go with.

In that tiny space the only way you can run 1000w is water cooled.

I have to admit, water cooled lighting would be pretty awesome!
